Exceptional foster carers are developed through learning, reflection and support.

Before you’re approved, you’ll complete a comprehensive preparation programme designed to give you the knowledge, understanding and practical skills needed to foster safely and confidently.

Once approved, you’ll continue to receive ongoing training covering areas such as safeguarding, trauma-informed care, child development, attachment, behaviour support and therapeutic approaches. As children’s needs evolve, so will your knowledge and skills.
